Abstract | This paper is a report of a pilot classroom research study undertaken by a team based in Cambridge, Leeds, Paris and Frankfurt and funded by the European Community. The project set out to investigate some of the implications of the mobility of school pupils in Europe resulting from the Single European Act which came into force in 1993, and in particular the intercultural education aspects of the changing European classrooms after 1992. In the years 1991/92 the team conducted a study extending over 18 months of existing provision in selected multicultural classrooms in 27 schools in England, France and Germany. (DIPF/orig.). |
